Reviews:

DeAngelo's Pizzeria Company

250 W Lee Dr
Baton Rouge, LA

DeAngelos is one of our favorite restaurants. It's a local Italian chain that offers reasonably priced food that tastes fantastic. The service has always been great, and so has the food.

Fricken Chicken

9402 Burbank Dr
Baton Rouge, LA 70810

This chicken place just opened up recently down the street from where I live. Their chicken is easily some of the best I've ever had, especially when it's just been cooked. Also, their biscuits are to die for.

Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant

8200 Jefferson Hwy
Baton Rouge, LA

Las Palmas has several locations around BR... they serve the typical mexican fare... enchiladas, chimchangas, burritos, etc, with rice and beans on the side. They have good chips and salsa before the meal too! They've got reasonable prices (around $10 a meal), and lunch specials that bring the prices down to around $7. Good stuff... very filling.

On the Half Shell

9828 Bluebonnet Blvd
Baton Rouge, LA

I have no idea how the food is here because I just called to make a to-go order and was told that they weren't taking to-go orders because they were too busy. What the heck?! I have never heard of that in my life.

Fernando's II

10655 Coursey Blvd
Baton Rouge, LA

This food is downright terrible. I've never gone to a restaurant and not finished my food (or taken it home) before. I didn't make it through one taco, and my wife's food was almost as bad.

Coffee Call

3132 College Dr
Baton Rouge, LA

Coffee Call is a Baton Rouge staple, and they have some of the best beignets around! My girlfriend swears by the hot chocolate, too.

Mambo Seafoood 3 Incorporated

10810 North Fwy
Houston, TX

While we were in Houston recently, my girlifriend's sister took us to Mambo. It was very very packed, very very busy, and the food was pretty good. It's very much a Mexican restaurant, but they serve seafood and their most popular dish is the shrimp fried rice (I had the small chicken fried rice... it cost me $4 and it was enough for 2 or 3 people... I had leftovers for days.) Good, cheap food. 3 of us ate for $20ish.

Kamado's Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar

4612 Bennington Ave
Baton Rouge, LA

Went here with our company today. Food was ok, service was pretty bad...

Mike Anderson's Seafood

1031 West Lee Dr
Baton Rouge, LA 70820

Mike Anderson's is a very authentic Louisiana restaurant. Walking into the restaurant, you're taken into a rustic, wooden, old-fashioned world. The ambiance is great for the types of Cajun food they serve... you get the usual fare, like fish, shrimp, crawfish, but right alongside those on the menu, you will see fried alligator. We got to-go food from there last night for the first time, and the experience was great! I can't tell you how many times I've gotten home and had the order screwed up because the restaurant didn't get it right. Here, they take everything out of the bag and show you each individual item, and then you sign a form saying that indeed, your order was correct. Excellent! Oh, and the food was good too. :)

Beau Jardin Cafe & Grill

4814 W Admiral Doyle Dr
New Iberia, LA 70560

Beau Jardin has the best burgers I've ever tasted in my life, and that's saying something. They're a small, hometown restaurant with fantastic food, but the burgers... the BURGERS! Wow.
