The bar is huge and is shaped in a huge oval so there is lots of bar space, very enjoyable. The Guiness/Cheddar fondue is pretty amazing. Plus cool bartenders.

Super good Mexican food super fast. Don't expect a slow leisurely meal. Giant high-octane margaritas. Fantastic guac. The rice is actually my favorite.

The flatbread bring you is fantastic. They also sell it in take-home bags. I think it's $2 a bag and it's like a 2-foot piece of bread.

The stable grill has tons of amazing things I keep going back for: Parm Potatoes, The Godiva dessert thing they have, The Chicken/Mushroom puff pastry thing. Mmmmm.

Chicken burrito, Black beans, Tortilla on the side, Verde & Corn. Beautiful.

GYRO-FRY!
Best gyros on earth. (so far)

Fantastic place on Willy street, right across from Jolly Bob's. Always excellent service and excellent food - or just go for drinks and live music. My favorites are the Carne Asade, The Tofu Soup (forgot the name of it), and of course the Bad Breath Burger. The Mediterranean plate is an excellent appetizer or meal.

Super cheap and very decent lunch buffet.

Never been. To loyal to Q-dobz.

The rumor is this place is so popular after bar time because they will still serve you liquor. I've never been there after bar time, but during regular hours it's your average mexican food. Good parking though.

They have that macaroni & cheese pizza. Gross.

2207 N Clybourn Ave

The crust on the pizzas is cheese that overflows the sides of the pizza and burns against the pan. That might sound gross, but it's amazing.

Awful. My wings were soggy and nasty. My burger was soggy and nasty. My curly frys were soggy and nasty (and a $3 add-on for the already $8 burger). The appetizer wings came AFTER the burger. The waitress got sick and went home during the middle of our meal, and no explanation was offered until I asked. Seriously. Eff Hooters.

I might be going crazy, but I think they either changed their name to "Zas" or there is also a restaurant on State Street called "Zas" which is highly confusing.

It's like one of those "Mongolian Barbecue" joints where you choose all your raw meats, vegetables, and sauces and they grill it up for you on a giant circular grill. Only Flat Top Grill is a little higher quality than those sketchy buffets.
They hold your hand through the process if you are a first-timer, which is a bit annoying. My first attempt was quite delicious -- I did a pretty standard rice/pork/vegetables/ginger sauce combo. With flatbread! (Get the flatbread it rocks) I'll be going back soon.

Fairly awful atmosphere, especially at night, but the brats are good and it's kind of a Madison tradition.

The really nice sign outside leads you to believe the food is going to be better than it actually is. Not that it's that bad, it's just pretty standard fare. Lots of chicken.
I think their niche is "cheap entree dinners". They have like 10 dinners under $9 or something.

I had a 3-star pork something-or-other and it was damn good. Then the next day I spent the entire day in bed when I wasn't vomiting. You never can be sure, but I'm saying with 80% certainty it was food poisoning. By the evening I felt pretty much fine...

I was actually trying to add "Angler's Haven Resort" - So I'm not sure if this is actually the same place or not.
The pizza at Angler's is unbelievably great. If it lacks anything in quality, it would make it up three fold with creativity. The specialty pizzas are all incredibly inventive and confident. The firehouse pizza is balls-out spicy hot and delicious. The Ceaser pizza actually has a tossed ceasar salad right on top of the pizza. I am from Madison, WI, which claims to have more restaurants per capita than any other major city, and we have nothing pizza wise that comes close to this.

Bunky's is similar to the Dardonell's on Monroe St. It's a little less classy with a bit more soul.

The fried chicken tacos are pretty unstoppable. $2 happy-hour blended margaritas.
There is a salsa-bar, which is kinda sweet.
I hear the fish tacos are great. I'm not a fish-liker so I can't vouche though.

Pretty standard fare in my opinion. Some mexican thing + rice + beans, margarita optional. I know some people who hate this place, and I know people who love it. The outdoor dining leaves a bit to be desired, as it overlooks a kind of nasty drainage ditch and there are bugs a plenty.
I do enjoy the veggie fajitas.

Kind of an old people's club, but the food ain't bad. Typical fair. Steaks, Ribs, Pasta, Burgers, American-What-Have-You.
Minus points for using Papyrus on the menu.

I really like the pie at this joint. No wait staff at lunch is kinda weird though.

They get-ya-in get-ya-out, but the burgers are pretty creative and tasty.
